International Greenscapes
NATUREMAKER® designs and builds custom indoor treehouses for museums, children’s play zones, resorts, and entertainment venues. Every piece is hand-sculpted, structurally engineered, and built to meet commercial safety codes from the ground up.
Designed for high-traffic environments. Built to last decades with zero maintenance.
A sculptural tree with integrated walkways, platforms, or lookout points built into the canopy. Scaled from intimate play nooks to full room-anchoring centerpieces up to 50+ feet tall.
A ground-level immersive setting featuring exposed root systems, mossy boulders, hollow logs, and understory foliage. Ideal as a base environment surrounding a central tree structure.
Two or more levels of interactive play built into the trunk and branching structure. Designed with spiral walkways, rope bridges, and elevated platforms for layered exploration.
A fully bespoke combination of tree, treehouse structure, and themed environment elements. Designed from scratch around your architectural space, program goals, and visitor experience.
Serve as the central exhibit anchor. A climbable, multi-level tree that draws kids in and holds attention for extended periods.
Add a destination amenity to lobbies or indoor recreation areas that guests of all ages can engage with throughout their stay.
Build an immersive nature-themed play environment that stands apart from conventional playground equipment and reinforces a biophilic design concept.
Support educational programming with an interactive, tactile botanical environment that reinforces curriculum around ecology and natural science.
Anchor indoor exhibit spaces with a sculptural tree environment that complements the naturalistic themes of surrounding animal habitats.
Function as a statement piece within a broader themed environment, integrating seamlessly with surrounding exhibit storytelling.
The steel armature is load-tested to support up to 2,000 lbs where required, designed to handle climbing, rigging, signage, and integrated equipment.
Bark textures are hand-carved from molds taken from real tree specimens. Branch structure follows natural phyllotaxy. These are sculptures, not props.
No watering, pruning, or replacement cycles. Occasional dusting with compressed air is typically all that’s needed for a piece that lasts 10-20+ years.
Every piece includes stamped structural calculations, fire safety certifications, and ADA compliance documentation, ready for fire marshal and building inspector review.
Size, species, canopy spread, bark style, foliage density, and interactive elements are all specified to fit your architectural environment and program goals.
Custom trees are fabricated at our facilities in San Marcos (CA) and Las Vegas (NV) by certified welders and artisan sculptors. Plant materials are custom assembled at our American studios.
Custom treehouses are available in virtually any tree species. Common choices for interactive environments include:
Dramatic aerial roots and multi-trunk structures lend themselves to climbing and exploration. Well-suited to two-story builds.
Gnarled, majestic forms with broad canopies. A natural fit for forest-themed environments and multi-level walkway structures.
Massive, sculptural trunks ideal for hollow-log interiors and large-scale anchor pieces.
Multi-trunk configurations with white bark and high canopies. Effective in modern or Scandinavian-influenced interiors.
Graceful, symmetrical branching that integrates well with elevated platforms and rope bridge structures.
Any tree species can be replicated. Our sculptors work from reference specimens and client-provided imagery.
Every commercial treehouse we build is engineered to meet or exceed applicable safety codes. Required documentation is prepared for fire marshals, building inspectors, and insurance underwriters.
NATUREMAKER® treehouses are engineered as functional structures. The steel-core armature is fabricated from 75% recycled steel, welded by certified professionals, and load-tested to support climbing structures, rigging, signage, and integrated building systems. Interactive and technical elements are built directly into the tree itself, as part of the sculpture.
Share your project vision, space dimensions, and program goals. Even a rough sketch or photo is enough to begin. We will discuss species, scale, and configuration options that fit your environment.
Our team produces 3D renderings and photorealistic composites showing the tree in your actual space. We refine species, canopy density, bark style, and interactive elements until the design is right.
For load-bearing and climbable structures, we produce full structural engineering calculations, seismic compliance documentation, and fire safety certifications for your building department.
Your tree enters production at our San Marcos or Las Vegas facility. Certified welders build the steel armature. Artisan sculptors hand-carve the bark and apply scenic finishes.
Our assembly crews handle coordinated shipping, on-site assembly, secure anchoring, seaming, and final canopy dressing. We complete a quality verification walkthrough before handover.
Yes. NATUREMAKER™ treehouses are engineered as load-bearing structures from the foundation up. The steel-core armature is load-tested to support up to 2,000 lbs where required. Climbing elements, walkways, and platforms are integrated into the structural design, and all structural calculations are stamped by licensed engineers. Every project is designed to meet or exceed IBC requirements for public, high-traffic environments.
There is no fixed size limit. Our projects have ranged from single-story feature pieces to 40-foot monumental treehouses spanning two full floors. Canopy spreads can reach 40-50 feet where architectural volumes allow. Scale is determined by your space, your program, and your structural requirements.
Banyan and oak are among the most common choices for multi-level climbing structures because their branching architecture and root systems integrate naturally with walkways, platforms, and rope bridges. That said, virtually any species can be built as an interactive treehouse. Our team recommends species based on your design vision and the spatial character of your environment.
Minimum lead time for custom tree projects is three months from design approval. Complex or monumental treehouses, particularly multi-story structures with extensive interactive elements, will require extended timelines. We coordinate closely with your construction and opening schedule from the start of the project.
Minimal. Occasional dusting with compressed air is typically all that is needed. Touch-up paint kits are provided for any bark texture repairs. There is no watering, pruning, or seasonal replacement, and with proper care, these structures maintain their quality for 10-20+ years of continuous use.
Yes. All foliage uses UltraLeaf-IFR®, an inherently fire-retardant material with fire protection molecularly bonded into the material. It will not wash off or degrade over time. The full project meets ASTM E84 Class A, NFPA 701, and California Title 19 standards, and we provide stamped certifications for fire marshal review.
Yes. We provide complete engineering documentation: stamped structural calculations, seismic compliance verification, load analysis for interactive equipment, and fire safety certifications. This documentation is prepared for building department submissions and fire marshal review.
