An Illuminated Olive Tree at the Heart of the Celebration
As part of a major venue-wide remodel at Bear Brook Valley, NatureMaker® created a 16-foot Steel Art olive tree designed to bring a dramatic natural presence into the venue’s main reception space.
Working with Balongue Design Inc. and interior designer Barbara Balongue, the sculptural Olive tree was incorporated as a defining botanical focal point within the newly transformed environment. Its graceful branching, textured trunk, and full canopy introduce height and organic form while complementing the venue’s upscale-rustic character.
Positioned prominently within the reception space, the tree draws the eye upward toward the warm timber ceiling and surrounding architectural details. Integrated uplighting illuminates the trunk and canopy, transforming the tree after dark and creating a warm, atmospheric centerpiece around which guests can gather, dine, and celebrate.
At 16 feet tall, the olive tree has enough scale to command the room without overwhelming it. Its natural silhouette provides a striking contrast to the structured architecture, while the illuminated foliage adds depth, texture, and visual interest throughout the space.
The result is more than a botanical feature, it becomes part of the setting for the celebrations and memories created there.
