Bradenton, FL
At the heart of this immersive exhibit stands a commanding 30-foot-tall Live Oak with an equally expansive 30-foot canopy—custom-built to anchor a one-of-a-kind, indoor treehouse experience. Installed as the central feature inside the Bishop Museum of Science and Nature’s “Backyard Universe,” this lifelike oak was designed to spark wonder and delight for visitors of all ages.
Sprawling limbs extend outward with striking realism, embracing guests in a canopy of dense foliage and organic curvature. The bark is deeply textured and rugged, modeled from natural oak specimens, and the branching structure was engineered to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding interactive exhibit space.
From intimate gatherings to educational programs, the Live Oak provides an unforgettable focal point and reinforces the museum’s mission to connect visitors to Florida’s natural ecosystems through storytelling and play. More than a tree—this is a destination.
