Café Carmellini

New York, NY

Inside the glamorous dining room of Café Carmellini, two custom-crafted 16-foot ficus trees stand tall beneath grand chandeliers, blending old-world elegance with biophilic design.

Positioned at the heart of the space, the trees anchor the restaurant’s lush, immersive ambiance—where deep blue banquettes, golden lighting, and mirrored walls meet natural textures and organic forms. Designed and installed by NatureMaker, each ficus features a 12-foot canopy that brings intimacy and vertical drama to the award-winning dining experience.

With a nod to European garden courtyards, the ficus trees create a living canopy that invites guests to linger, savor, and escape the bustle of Manhattan just outside.
