Bringing Natural Scale to a Grand Interior
Within the expansive atrium at Infomart in Dallas, NatureMaker® introduced a collection of natural-trunk Ficus trees designed to bring greenery, warmth, and human scale into the soaring architectural environment.
Positioned throughout the open floor plan, the Ficus trees create a series of botanical focal points along the perimeter of the atrium. Their natural trunks and full green canopies provide an organic counterpoint to the building’s dramatic structural elements, polished wood flooring, multi-level walkways, and expansive glass ceiling.
The trees help visually connect the ground level with the immense vertical scale above. Rather than competing with the architecture, their rounded canopies soften the space and introduce repetition and rhythm across the atrium.
From a distance, the trees help frame the central circulation area. Up close, their natural forms add texture and a welcoming presence to an otherwise monumental
interior.
Together, the Ficus trees demonstrate how strategically placed greenery can transform the character of a large commercial environment while allowing its architecture to remain the focus.
The scale feels more approachable.
