Standing 24 feet tall with a vibrant 24-foot canopy, The Old Tree brings a jolt of color and contemplation to New York’s iconic High Line. Designed by Swiss artist Pamela Rosenkranz and produced by NatureMaker, this striking installation invites viewers to explore the connections between nature, art, and synthetic life.Vivid red branches twist skyward, illuminated by the surrounding cityscape, while thick sculptural roots seem to pulse with life—evoking blood vessels, neural networks, and ancient mythologies. Positioned between towering buildings and ever-changing seasons, The Old Tree offers a moment of awe and curiosity in the heart of Manhattan.
