International Greenscapes
Dense canopies, graceful trunks, and broad-leaf foliage make the ficus one of the most sought-after species in commercial biophilic design. International Greenscapes crafts custom ficus trees at every scale, from 6-foot restaurant accents to 35-foot corporate atrium centerpieces.
20,000+ successful projects worldwide. Made in America since 1983.
International Greenscapes offers three distinct construction methods for artificial ficus trees, each suited to different project requirements.
Welded steel armature with hand-sculpted bark over wire mesh lath. Polychromatic glazing for depth and realism.
Genuine preserved wood trunks paired with artisan-crafted artificial foliage. Authentic bark texture and grain.
Engineered steel or polymer cores with weather-resistant finishes. UV-inhibited UltraLeaf-X® foliage available.
Ficus canopies soften large-scale architecture and create grounded, park-like environments within commercial buildings.
Overhead ficus canopies add intimacy and vertical drama to dining rooms, creating a garden-like atmosphere for guests.
Biophilic elements like ficus trees contribute to calm, healing-oriented environments in hospitals and wellness centers.
Custom ficus trees bring natural warmth to grand lobbies, poolside spaces, and resort corridors.
From upscale social clubs to immersive gaming spaces, ficus trees blend seamlessly into themed environments.
Large-format ficus trees draw the eye upward in multi-story retail atriums and flagship showrooms.
Ficus species are known for broad, layered canopies. Our artisans individually place each leaf and branch to replicate the signature fullness of live ficus foliage.
No watering, fertilizer, pruning, or pesticide treatments. Occasional dusting with compressed air is all that’s needed.
Our trees are built to last. One 20-year-old tree looks as good as the day it was assembled, just a little dustier.
IFR materials and seismic engineering ensure your ficus tree meets the code requirements for commercial and public assembly spaces.
Every tree is built to your space, from canopy diameter and walk-under clearance to trunk profile and foliage density.
Steel-core NATUREMAKER® ficus trees can conceal lighting, speakers, HVAC ductwork, and surveillance systems within the trunk and canopy.
Every ficus tree built by International Greenscapes can be specified with materials engineered to meet the fire and safety codes required in commercial and public assembly environments.
Typically 6 to 16 feet, sized for standard commercial ceiling heights. Custom heights available on request.
Density and spread are adjustable to suit sightlines and spatial constraints. Walk-under clearance is customizable.
Genuine trunks are selected, preserved, and sealed for long-term interior use. Natural bark texture and grain are retained.
Artisan-crafted branches and foliage are added to the preserved trunk. Available in standard green, seasonal blooms, or custom color palettes.
Freestanding with base plate or integrated with planters. Trees are anchored securely for high-traffic commercial environments.
Every ficus tree built by International Greenscapes can be specified with materials engineered to meet the fire and safety codes required in commercial and public assembly environments.
NATUREMAKER™ fabricated cat trees are built with the same steel-core engineering used across our commercial custom tree program.
These structures are designed for environments where animal weight, repeated climbing activity, and long-term public exposure all require real structural performance.
Contact us with your project goals, timeline, and any sketches or architectural drawings. Even a hand drawing is enough to start.
Our design team reviews your space, recommends species and scale, and develops preliminary concepts at no charge.
We create professional 3D renderings showing the ficus tree in your actual space. Design iterations continue until you're satisfied.
Your tree is hand-crafted at our American studios in San Marcos, CA; Las Vegas, NV; or Miami, FL. Minimum lead time is approximately three months.
Our professional crews assemble your tree on-site with minimal disruption to your operations, including final adjustments and finishing.
Our ficus trees are crafted to 87% botanical accuracy by artisans who hand-sculpt bark from silicone molds taken from real ficus specimens and apply polychromatic glazing in translucent layers for natural depth. The foliage is individually placed for authentic density and layering. Clients consistently tell us they cannot believe the trees are artificial. We invite you to visit our showrooms in Las Vegas, Miami, or San Diego to experience the quality in person.
Natural trunk ficus trees from PLANTWORKS® typically range from 6 to 16 feet. Steel-core sculpted ficus trees from NATUREMAKER® can reach 35 feet or more, with canopy diameters of 12 to 24 feet. At the Comcast Technology Center in Philadelphia, we built a series of 35-foot Ficus benjamina trees for a 27th-floor employee dining atrium. Every tree is custom-sized to your space.
Yes. Fully fabricated ficus trees from TREESCAPES® are engineered for outdoor environments with UV-inhibited UltraLeaf-X® foliage, weather-resistant finishes, and wind load engineering. Colorfast guarantees are available for exterior applications.
Minimal. A periodic pass with compressed air keeps the foliage looking fresh. We also provide touch-up paint kits for bark texture repairs and cleaning products for foliage care with every project. There are no irrigation systems to maintain, no dead leaves to clean up, and no seasonal replanting cycles to budget for.
Our trees are built to perform for decades. One client's tree still looks as good as the day it was assembled after 20 years, just a little dustier. Steel-core construction uses 75% recycled steel fabricated by certified welders and engineered to exceed applicable building codes.
Minimum lead time is approximately three months from design approval to delivery. Each tree is hand-crafted to order at our American studios. For most projects, this fits within construction schedules when we're engaged early in the design process.
Yes. NATUREMAKER® steel-core ficus trees can be engineered to conceal uplighting, downlighting, speakers, surveillance cameras, display screens, sprinkler routing, HVAC ductwork, and cable management pathways within the trunk and canopy structure. All of our ficus trees can be built with Inherently Fire Retardant (IFR) materials rated to ASTM E84 Class A and NFPA 701 standards. This is critical for casinos, restaurants, hospitals, airports, and other public assembly spaces where fire code compliance is non-negotiable.
