International Greenscapes
Real preserved wood trunks paired with artisan-crafted foliage, built for restaurants, hotels, lobbies, and retail spaces. Each tree is custom designed by PLANTWORKS®, delivering authentic bark texture and organic character without ongoing plant care.
Over 100 years of combined experience across three brands. Studios in California, Nevada, and Florida.
Smooth bark, graceful branching, and dense canopies make ficus one of our most versatile species. Available in multiple varieties, from weeping fig to fiddle leaf, to match virtually any interior design direction.
Gnarly, characterful trunks with silver-green foliage. Mediterranean olives are our most requested species across all brands, prized for their sculptural presence in dining rooms, atriums, and lobbies.
Distinctive white bark and airy canopies in single or multi-trunk configurations. Birch brings a light, contemporary feel that works well in modern hospitality and corporate settings.
Beyond our core species, PLANTWORKS® can source and preserve trunks for a range of tropical and decorative varieties. If your design calls for a specific species, our team will work with you to bring it to life.
Anchor dining rooms and lounge areas with organic warmth. Trees frame guest seating, define zones, and create focal points that photograph well.
Set the tone for guest arrival with authentic wood texture and lush canopies. Sized for standard ceiling heights with customizable walk-under clearance.
Add biophilic presence to reception spaces, break rooms, and collaboration areas. Lighter weight than steel-core trees, making them practical for elevated floors.
Create inviting common areas and storefronts with trees scaled to fit standard commercial ceilings. Canopy density is adjustable to suit the space.
From social clubs to themed dining, natural trunk trees bring theatrical greenery to high-energy spaces. At Flight Club in Washington, DC, PLANTWORKS® delivered two signature natural trunk ficus trees accented with pink blossoms.
Preserved natural trunks retain the bark grain, knots, and organic imperfections of the original tree. The result is texture that synthetic materials cannot replicate.
Natural trunk trees are significantly lighter than full steel-core constructions, simplifying delivery and reducing structural load requirements for upper floors.
For trees in the 6 to 16-foot range, natural trunk construction is more cost-effective than custom steel armatures while still delivering a high-end result.
No watering, no fertilizing, no seasonal replanting. PLANTWORKS® trees maintain their appearance year-round with only occasional dusting.
Available with UltraLeaf-IFR® foliage that meets ASTM E84 Class A and NFPA 701 standards. Fire protection is built into the material, not sprayed on.
Canopy density, height, walk-under clearance, and species are all adjustable to suit your specific space and design goals.
Each tree is crafted from a carefully selected, preserved real wood trunk. Below are the standard options and parameters we work within.
Typically 6 to 16 feet, sized for standard commercial ceiling heights. Custom heights available on request.
Density and spread are adjustable to suit sightlines and spatial constraints. Walk-under clearance is customizable.
Genuine trunks are selected, preserved, and sealed for long-term interior use. Natural bark texture and grain are retained.
Artisan-crafted branches and foliage are added to the preserved trunk. Available in standard green, seasonal blooms, or custom color palettes.
Freestanding with base plate or integrated with planters. Trees are anchored securely for high-traffic commercial environments.
Commercial spaces require materials that meet strict fire and safety codes. PLANTWORKS® trees are available with inherently fire-retardant foliage that satisfies the most demanding jurisdictions.
NATUREMAKER™ fabricated cat trees are built with the same steel-core engineering used across our commercial custom tree program.
These structures are designed for environments where animal weight, repeated climbing activity, and long-term public exposure all require real structural performance.
Share your vision, space photos, or a rough sketch. Our design team provides species and sizing recommendations at no charge, with 3D renderings available for review.
We refine every detail collaboratively with your architect or designer. Samples, mockups, and as many iterative revisions as needed until the design is finalized.
You receive an itemized proposal with full scope, materials, timeline, and investment. Every project is custom quoted because every project is unique.
Trunk preservation, foliage crafting, and quality inspections happen at our California, Nevada, or Florida studios. Minimum three-month lead time from approval.
Our crews deliver and assemble your tree on-site with secure anchoring, finishing, and a quality verification walkthrough before handover.
Maintenance guidance, touch-up kits, and cleaning recommendations are provided. Our team remains available for repairs and future projects.
A natural trunk tree uses a genuine, preserved wood trunk as its core structure, with artisan-crafted artificial branches and foliage added to complete the tree. The preservation process retains the original bark texture, grain patterns, and organic character of the wood. The result looks and feels like a real tree but requires no watering, sunlight, or seasonal maintenance.
Because the trunk itself is real wood, the texture and visual authenticity are very high. Guests, diners, and visitors frequently cannot tell these trees are artificial without being told. The bark has genuine knots, grain, and natural imperfections that synthetic materials cannot match. Our showrooms in Las Vegas, Miami, and San Diego let you see and touch the quality before committing to a project.
Natural trunk trees typically range from 6 to 16 feet in height, making them ideal for standard commercial ceiling heights. Canopy density and walk-under clearance are both customizable. For projects requiring trees above 16 feet or with expansive canopy spans, International Greenscapes offers steel-core sculptural trees through NATUREMAKER® that can exceed 50 feet.
The most popular species include ficus, olive, birch (single or multi-trunk), and a range of tropical and decorative varieties. Mediterranean olive is our most requested species across all brands due to its characterful, gnarly trunks and sculptural presence. If your project calls for a specific species not listed here, our team can source and preserve custom trunks to match your design.
Yes. PLANTWORKS® trees are available with UltraLeaf-IFR® foliage, which is inherently fire-retardant. Fire-retardant chemicals are mixed directly into the resin before the foliage is molded, creating permanent protection that does not wash off or degrade. This meets ASTM E84 Class A, NFPA 701, California Title 19, and U.S. Government SIN-494-4 standards.
Natural trunk trees are lighter, more cost-effective, and well suited for spaces with standard ceiling heights where large canopy extension is not needed. Steel-core trees from NATUREMAKER® are the right choice for monumental scale (up to 50+ feet), column-wrapping capability, or integrated technology like lighting, speakers, or HVAC concealment. Both options are crafted by International Greenscapes under one roof.
Minimal. Occasional dusting with compressed air keeps the foliage looking fresh. We provide touch-up paint kits for minor bark repairs and cleaning product recommendations at handover. There is no watering, fertilizing, pest control, or seasonal replanting required.
The minimum lead time for custom projects is three months from design approval. This includes trunk sourcing and preservation, foliage crafting, quality inspections, shipping, and on-site assembly. Timelines vary depending on project complexity and production schedules. Contact our team early in your planning to discuss scheduling.
