The most memorable spaces are not simply seen. They are felt.
A guest steps into a hotel, restaurant, showroom, resort, or private amenity space and immediatelysenses the intention behind it — the scale, the atmosphere, the care, the point of view.
Through NatureMaker®, Plantworks®, and Treescapes®, we create permanent botanical environments that become part of the architecture itself. Our work is not simply about adding greenery. It is about shaping how people experience a space. Luxury clients expect beauty, but they also require confidence. They need materials that perform, installations that endure, and details that hold up under close inspection. They need partners who can move from creative concept to fabrication to on-site assembly without losing the integrity of the original vision.
Our work begins with design, but it is completed through craft. Trees are sculpted, shaped, finished, and refined by artisans who understand proportion, texture, realism, and presence. Every trunk, branch, canopy, palm, plant composition, and green wall is considered for how it looks — and how it makes people feel.
In a world of temporary trends, permanent botanical environments offer something more enduring: a sense of arrival, connection, and memory. That is the art of permanent nature.
At HANN Resorts – The Canyon, International Greenscapes™ helped create an immersive hospitality environment designed to make guests feel transported from the moment they arrive. The project features replica Kentia palms, Licuala Grandis fan palms, and preserved Washingtonia Robusta palms, layered throughout a dramatic interior canyon setting. Together, the palms and plantings bring tropical scale, texture, and movement to a space defined by rockwork, lighting, and architectural detail.
Tall preserved palms create vertical impact, while lower plantings and fan palms add softness, depth, and a sense of discovery at guest level. The result is a restaurant environment that feels lush, atmospheric, and fully composed.
For hospitality spaces, permanent botanical design can do more than decorate. It can shape the entire guest experience, creating a sense of arrival, escape, and memory. At The Canyon, nature becomes part of the destination.
At Brocton Central School District, International Greenscapes™ helped transform a school library into an immersive, nature-inspired environment designed to spark curiosity and wonder.
Created through the artistry of NatureMaker® and Treescapes®, the project includes a custom Steel Art walk-through oak tree, a corner “nook” oak tree, and an oak trunk book-drop feature. Together, these elements bring scale, storytelling, and craftsmanship into a space designed for learning.
The walk-through oak invites students to move through the tree itself, while the corner nook creates a quieter place for reading, gathering, and discovery. Each detail was designed to make the library feel more memorable, welcoming, and alive. For students, the result is more than a room.
At voco Laguna Hills by IHG, International Greenscapes™ helped create a warm, sculptural hospitality experience through custom Steel Art botanical installations.
The lobby centerpiece is a 16-foot multi-trunk olive tree with an 8- to 9-foot canopy, designed to bring natural scale, softness, and a memorable sense of arrival to the hotel lounge. Crafted with hand-carved, hand-painted, and hand-detailed finishes over steel, the tree rises from a sculpted base with moss, integrated lighting, and a refined slate-inspired finish.
The project also includes a Steel Art pine bonsai for the restaurant, framed within a circular wall opening and designed to be viewed from both sides. This smaller sculptural moment adds intimacy, artistry, and discovery to the guest experience.
Together, the installations show how permanent botanical design can transform hospitality spaces — creating moments of arrival, gathering, pause, and connection. For guests, nature becomes part of the experience.
Some careers are measured in titles. Others are measured in the spaces they help create. Juan Ascencio, an agronomist and longtime International Greenscapes™ team member, has spent his career bridging the worlds of plant science, design, and installation. He first partnered with Treescapes as a local plant expert, helping translate design vision into environments that felt natural, durable, and beautifully considered.
Since joining International Greenscapes™ full-time in 2013, Juan has helped shape some of the company’s most distinctive projects. His expertise spans live and artificial plant systems, giving him a rare understanding of realism, performance, and how botanical design should behave in the built environment.
Known for his humility, precision, and forward-looking approach, Juan continues to help guide product innovation and installation excellence across the company.
At International Greenscapes™, Juan represents the kind of knowledge that only comes from years of observation, craft, and care.
Every finished installation begins somewhere more intimate: in the hands of artisans. This quarter’s featured video takes you inside the International Greenscapes™ home artisan studio and immersive showroom — the place where ideas take shape, textures are studied, materials are explored, and details are refined long before an installation reaches its final destination.
Here, clients can see the difference up close: bark texture, leaf density, trunk movement, scale, finish, color, proportion, and realism.
It is one thing to imagine a botanical environment from a rendering. It is another to experience the craft firsthand.
Our showroom and studio were created for that reason — to help designers, architects, developers, and clients explore possibilities in a more personal, tactile, and inspired way
